MKW’s extensive experience covers a broad range of project types and a balanced mix of public and private clients. The design of public open space, including parks, plazas and recreational areas, has been a hallmark of our firm’s practice over the last forty years and continues to be a major focus of our current design portfolio. Over the past six years, MKW has completed designs for park and recreational projects with combined construction costs of over $200 million, including several major waterfront projects. The range and scale of our work remains fairly diverse, however, from small play areas and school yards, to college and university open spaces, to the $85 million Hudson River Park, segments 6 & 7. We have also been involved in several unique project types, including the Everett Children’s Adventure Garden in The New York Botanical Garden, the Dallas Arboretum Children’s Garden, and the BASF Wildlife Preserve.
